  • Responsibilities

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and support for PC-based access control, video security systems, and related equipment. Ensure documentation is accurate and complete. Function as liaison to clients and subcontractors to ensure all projects are completed on time and on budget. Maintain a high level of device installation knowledge in access control, video security, alarm installation, and related technologies. This position will be required to support the service department by taking 24-hour on-call for service as needed. (Typically, 3–4-week rotation)

    This is a non-exempt position.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Preventative Maintenance Tasking (Database Back-ups, Access Control System Analysis,
    • Network Analysis and Optimization, Performance Testing, Customer Training)
    • Execute Quoted Service Projects.
    • Troubleshoot Access Control, Intrusion, Intercom, and Video Systems.
    • Replace Failed Components, as necessary.
    • Consistent Communications (Supervisor, Service Coordinator, Account Manager, and Customer)
    • Perform initial programming on small systems or other systems as required. (Bosch Systems Programming)
    • Plans and organizes acceptance of installation projects by customers, ensuring system functionality and customer satisfaction by reviewing the drawings and scope of work as well as the sequence of operation.
    • Ensuring that all assigned installation projects are appropriately managed in accordance with ATS's policies and procedures, are timely completed, and are completed following budget.
    • Participate in 24-hour On Call rotation as scheduled.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Fundamental understanding of electrical systems (120VAC, 12VDC, and 24VDC)
    • Experience with electronics and basic electrical circuits.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills.
    • Access Systems, IP based Cameras, IP based Intercoms, Intrusion Systems, and Hardware Installation.
    • LAN, WAN, Matrix Switches, Multiplexers, Relay Logic, and NVR Systems.
    • Computer hardware and software skills.
    • Comfortable with operating standard hand and power tools.
    • Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
    • Strong communication and interactive skills
    • Must have a valid Driver's License and be insurable on Company's policy.
    • Travel up to 30%.

    CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • AA degree in applied technology
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Computer programming experience
    • Troubleshooting experience
    • BISCI certification or equivalent is a plus.
