The Abatement Manager will be responsible for managing asbestos, lead, and mold abatement and remediation projects by performing the following duties. Candidates must possess excellent customer service and communication skills, as they will be required to interact with individuals who are dealing with the stress and anxiety caused by environmental hazards in their homes. The candidate should be self-motivated and able to sell services in a complicated and fast-paced environment.
Abatement Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Completes site inspections on all project assignments as well as gathers and inputs photos and data
- compiled during field inspections to prepare accurate, timely field documentation
- Works directly with project payees such as property owners and insurers to address and resolve time
- sensitive property damage
- Shows compassion to property owners, tenants, and project payees when dealing with their situation and provides regular, detailed project status updates to clients, stakeholders, and internal
- project teams
- conducts risk assessments and analyses to identify potential environmental hazards and their potential impacts/troubleshooting safe processes to address them
- Monitors and documents project progress to ensure that projects are on track with stated goals
- Maintains accurate logging of all relevant communication on each job file and ensures compliance with all third-party provider performance standards
- Demonstrates the ability to be detail-oriented and the ability to manage a large amount of information
- with multiple time-sensitive tasks
- Demonstrate proficiencies in problem-solving, knowledge of general construction, and a command of proper abatement and remediation processes
- Develops and maintains good rapport with state inspectors
- Performs other tasks assigned
- Takes instruction from the assigned manager and communicates with them regularly
Abatement Project Manager Requirements:
- At least 3 years of related industry/ business experience
- Trades experience
- Industry Certifications (WI DHS Lead Safe Renovator, WI DHS Asbestos Inspector, OSHA, IICRC WRT, IICRC ASD, ICRA, IICRC FSRT, IICRC CDS, IICRC AMRT, NIMS etc.)
- Financial Management experience
- Valid Driver license
- Oral and written communication
- Time management
- Scheduling skills and experience
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve
- Possess good organization and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of permits and the inspection process
- Ability to run projects simultaneously at different reconstruction phases
