The Ryan Institute, LLC is looking for individuals that have a strong desire to help students and families from various backgrounds overcome academic challenges. A qualified candidate for our in-person academic mentor position should have the following:
Qualifications:
Capable of completing a successful FBI background check and fingerprinting
Patient, flexible, positive, consistent, dependable and cooperative with a sense of humor
Demonstrate clear and concise communication and writing skills
Proficiency in using web-based applications
Ability to maintain confidential information
Experience working with school-aged children
Availability to work during the school day and after school, if needed
Responsibilities
Assist students in targeted subject areas via individual or small group tutoring
Facilitate problem-solving with a curious mind and critical thinking skills
Collaborate effectively with parents and the organization to increase student performance
Supervise scholars and ensures their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being
Assists in maintaining accurate program records, including incident reports, logbook documentation, and daily attendance
Facilitate and create lesson plans for daily activities
Organize and leads various small and large group activities
Perform other duties as assigned
