Job Title: Account Clerk II (44175)
Job Locations: Virginia Beach, VA 23452
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Payrate: $17.15/hr
Job Duties:
- Prepare new hire files for Department of Human Services.
- Create personnel, training, TB test, and background folders.
- Maintain records management and training reports. Will need to update reports daily and attend meetings to provide updates from these reports.
- Communicate with staff and hiring managers regarding employee file status.
- Provide quality assurance reviews to ensure staff files are complying with our state and local regulations.
- Prepare for upcoming or unannounced audits.
- Prepare and assist with digitization of current paper files.
- Maintain paper and/or electronic cross-referenced office files and a variety of other records by sorting and indexing materials alphabetically, numerically, and geographically.
- Review documents for completeness, accuracy, and conformity with established procedures.
- Update Behavioral Health and Developmental Services spreadsheet.
- Ability to interpret and apply departmental policies and procedures.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Minimum/Special/Additional Requirements:
- High school or GED plus two (2) years’ experience in fields providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities, such as clerical accounting or bookkeeping; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
