** Position Overview:**
The PR Account Coordinator plays a vital support role within a dynamic public relations team, assisting in the execution of client campaigns, media relations, and administrative tasks. This entry-level position offers a hands-on opportunity to build foundational skills in public relations and communications
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute to a collaborative environment. They will assist in media clips, research assignments, administrative tasks, drafting press materials, coordinating media outreach, managing social media platforms, and tracking campaign performance. Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for storytelling are essential for success in this role.
** Responsibilities:**
● Manage all master resources including editorial calendars, awards, and speaking grids
● Participate in client meetings; take notes and share action items
● Assist in drafting and distributing press releases, media pitches, and other communications
● Manage internal tools and databases
● Coordinate schedules for team meetings, events, and client activities
● Build and update media lists and databases
● Monitor media coverage and compile details reports
● Execute administrative duties
● Completes work product, timesheets, and reports accurately
● Contributes and support to 5-8 accounts (on average)
● Work closely with account teams to align on priorities and meet deadlines
● Provide support for brainstorming and strategic planning initiatives
● Contribute to fostering a collaborative and positive team culture
** Qualifications:**
● Must be based in Los Angeles or New York City
● Minimum of 1 year of PR experience in an agency
● Someone who can work independently and balance a high-volume workload
● Must excel at multitasking, attention to detail, and highly-organized
● Exceptional writing skills
● Strong and effective verbal and interpersonal skills
● Self-starter who is creative and demonstrates independent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
● Someone who prioritizes doing things right the first time obtaining the necessary information and context to get the job done
