    The Account Executive at Prizm Insurance & Risk Services is responsible for developing new business opportunities in commercial insurance and employee benefits, with the expectation of meeting sales and service standards within established timelines.

    Responsibilities:

    Identify, qualify, and develop commercial insurance and employee benefits opportunities with new and existing clients.

    Foster and maintain meaningful relationships with clients and prospects through regular follow-up, accurate and timely quotations, and general account support. Anticipate, respond to, and follow-up on client needs.

    Utilize Applied Epic Agency Management System (AMS) to access and update account information.

    Implement and execute account marketing plans.

    Support and prepare clients for renewal.

    Work with support staff to create insurance proposals and service plans.

    Negotiate directly with insurance carriers.

    Review policies at least annually to ensure coverage needs are met.

    Identify cross-selling opportunities.

    Interact with agency personnel, clients, prospects, and agency partners.

    Network with community and business members.

    Learn and improve technical and sales skills.

    Monitor, review, and report on key metrics to ensure sales targets are achieved and execute sales activity documentation in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.

    Accept new business leads and other duties as assigned by management.

    Maintain continuing education and participate in ongoing education and keep informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Excellent communication skills and the ability to apply in both verbal and written form.

    Maintain outstanding professional demeanor.

    Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively secure new business and maintain an existing client base.

    Proven track record of business-to-business sales success, preferred. Possess strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills with the ability to close sales.

    Be goal-oriented and develop new business opportunities.

    Experience with computer data entry required; working familiarity with Applied Epic, Employee Navigator, Zywave, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word, preferred.

    Cultivate and maintain positive work relationships with team members.

    Manage sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality.

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma required; college degree, preferred.

    Wisconsin Property & Casualty and Accident & Health and Life Insurance licenses required, or the ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire.

    1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the insurance industry.

    Possess a valid driver’s license and a source of reliable transportation.
