    Job Title: Account Manager, Commercial and Residential Landscape

    Location: Akron, OH

    Compensation:  Base salary ranging from $65-70k plus incremental base salary growth as the book of business grows via renewals, Enhancement Sales and new Maintenance Contracts, Take Home Vehicle, PTO to include 2 weeks of paid vacation, Christmas through New Year week and Holidays, 401k Match of 3%, Laptop or Ipad, Cell and Health Insurance allowance of $125/mo.

    General responsibilities include upholding the values of our company, contributing to the company goals, and acting in the best interest of our employees, customers and assets. These responsibilities include any task that contributes to the very best work environment, outstanding landscape quality, customer loyalty and financial gains.

    Specifically responsible for ensuring successful operations on a portfolio of accounts, including: customer satisfaction, retention and renewal of accounts, enhancement sales, and job quality. This role is also responsible for supporting safety and productivity in field operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Safety

    Support training and enforcement of all safety procedures and policies

    Client Management

    Requires developing trust based relationships with our clients including regularly scheduled and structured communication

    Responsible for educating our customers on proper horticultural practices and operations

    Responsible for contract renewals

    Responsible for reacting to requests and complaints from clients or their stakeholders

    Position requires clear, professional written and verbal communication

    Quality Control

    Ensure the job quality is maintained at a level required to completely satisfy each customer

    Manage the company’s Quality Control System in the assigned portfolio

    Job Management

    Requires thorough knowledge of the scope, contractual obligations, and job notes associated with the assigned portfolio accounts

    Responsible for ensuring that ancillary services are performed in a timely manner and properly billed

    Responsible for keeping job files current and complete

    Sales 

    Responsible for sales of ancillary services and property improvements outside of the base contract.

    Dollar targets / sales volume to be determined annually based on the portfolio.

    Requires proactively developing of a property improvement plan for each assigned account annually, plan includes:

    Remedies for safety or hazard conditions

    Solutions for infrastructure or functional issues

    Recommendations for improved esthetics

    Responsible for processing property improvements as requested by the customer

    Responsible for completing estimates within the templates/system provided by the company and at the gross margins dictated by the company

    Responsible for generating proposals compliant with the company standards for proposals and presentations

    Responsible for negotiations on scope and price as needed within the margins allowed by company policy or the direct superior’s limits

    New Jobs

    Responsible for adherence to the company’s new job start-up procedure policies and processes

    Productivity

    Support adherence to the company’s production system, including labor management systems, job planning systems, schedules systems

    Metrics

    Performance for this position is measured based on:

    \- Safety incident rate

    Good performance indicated by a declining rate of incidences per 200,000 hours worked

    \- Quality

    Good performance indicated by improving Quality Control metrics

    \- Retention / renewal rates

    Good performance indicated by improving retention / renewal rates

    \- Sales

    Good performance indicated by meeting or exceeded sales targets and Gross Margins on those sales

    \- Customer satisfaction

    Good performing indicated by satisfied customers as measured by improving retention, improving enhancement sales penetration rate, and improving customer survey results

    Productivity

    Good performance indicated by meeting or exceeded Gross Margin budgets

    Intangibles

    Good performance would be upholding and represent the values of the company, being a team player, great work ethic, good leadership, consistently building fans of our company in our clients

     

    Position Requirements:

    Desire 3+ years customer service experience

    Good written and oral communication skills

    A demonstrated ability to develop strong professional relationships in a business to business setting

    Creative problem solver with capacity to innovate

    Team orientation 

    Prepared to lead by example, roll up the sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done

    Basic Microsoft Office software skills and ability to learn other software

    Landscape experience is desirable. including knowledge of local plant types, turf types and identification of common landscape issues and knowledge of common solutions.
