Account Manager
Sansom Staffing has partnered with a global manufacturer of engineered solutions for material handling equipment for a direct-hire role. We’re seeking an Account Manager to join our client’s team assisting potential customers in industrial and manufacturing environments. This role combines technical expertise with a customer-centric approach to design tailored solutions that address material handling challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the technical knowledge required to design and sell company products to industrial and commercial customers.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to gather design information and pricing for accurate and timely quotations.
- Assess and solve customer material handling needs through tailored product recommendations and custom solutions.
- Conduct on-site demonstrations, training sessions, and consultations to showcase product capabilities.
- Travel 10%-30%, including customer visits and participation in trade shows.
- Match the right product, attachment, and customization to each unique customer application.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of sales experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Customer-focused with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Team-oriented and professional demeanor.
- High level of integrity, quality standards, and commitment to service excellence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of sales experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Previous experience in non-catalogue/custom solution sales.
- Background in mechanical and direct current (DC) electrical problem-solving.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales goals as an independent achiever.
