About the position Thrifty Office Furniture of NC, a leading commercial furniture dealership, is seeking a results-driven and proactive Account Manager to join our team. The primary focus of this role is on new business development and actively growing relationships with existing accounts. Successful candidates will have a strong ability in relationship building, understanding and anticipating client needs, and driving revenue growth.
Responsibilities Generate new business through prospecting, cold-calling, networking, and other lead generation activities. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of furniture and service opportunities. Leverage industry knowledge and market trends to identify new business prospects. Develop customized proposals tailored to client needs. Foster long-term relationships with both existing and prospective clients. Serve as the main point of contact for client inquiries, providing solutions and exceptional customer service. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations showcasing Thrifty Office Furniture products and services. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure new business and grow existing relationships. Collaborate with internal teams to manage your client projects to ensure timely and successful delivery of furniture installations. Keep up to date on trends and innovations in the commercial furniture industry. Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company and expand your client base. Using CRM maintain your client base and sales activities to regularly update management on sales goal progress, challenges, and opportunities.
Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred. 3-5 years of business development/sales with a proven track record of growth and closing deals. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build relationships and influence key decision-makers. Self-motivated, goad-oriented, and capable of working independently. Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). *Knowledge of the commercial furniture industry is a plus.
