    Job Description

    This position is responsible for the transactional analysis, monitoring & reporting of Accounts Payable (AP) process, as well as participate in special projects that improve the overall execution of the Accounts Payable. This includes, but not limited to working with the General Accounting Team, developing AP monthly close procedures, working closely with Treasury, 1099 Reporting and AP payable metric analysis.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Provide leadership to assist internal stakeholders, by providing disbursement system knowledge, administrative support and by taking lead on projects in Accounts Payable.
    • Participate in system testing, upgrades or implementations of disbursement systems are done in a compliant manner.
    • Generate Monthly AP Metric and performance reporting.
    • Assist in the month end AP Close and Accrual Process.
    • Perform AP Account Analysis, reconciliation, review of the balance sheet.
    • Maintain SOX compliance of AP Controls.
    • Build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Provide recommendations concerning improvements in P2P methods, policies, and procedures.
    • Actively participate in regular team meetings with procurement, internal stakeholders, and vendors to resolve any AP issue.
    • Perform AP Control and monitoring Activities.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent business experience in Accounts Payable or Accounting preferred
    • 3 plus years of experience in Finance & Accounting – Accounts Payable
    • Professional designation (CPA, CISA, CFA) or master’s degree, a plus
    • Ability to demonstrate value to the business and other functions by providing system expertise to develop and make recommendations that produce results.
    • Solid understanding of knowledge of GAAP Accounting & Accounts Payable Principles.
    • Self-directed, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including excellent engagement skills.
    • Flexible and eager to work on different assignments throughout the department as needed.
    • Challenges the status quo and brings new insights and manages process innovation and simplification.
    • Uses effective, concise verbal and written communication to present to appropriate audiences and works to improve influencing skills.
    • Displays high-level problem-solving skills and presents recommendations to management.
