Position Overview:
Seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role is essential for maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and records in accordance with accounting principles and standards.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and analysis on variances.
- Support the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of financial data and reports to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and prepare necessary documentation.
- Maintain and update accounting software and systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Provide financial analysis and support to management for decision-making purposes.
- Stay current with accounting regulations and best practices to enhance processes and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Compensation:
- The salary range for this position is approximately $70,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
