Our client is looking for an Accountant Associate
Accounting Associate – Hybrid (Downtown Orlando, FL)
Location: Downtown Orlando, FL (Hybrid – 3 days in office)
The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented and highly skilled Accounting Associate to support our Finance and Accounting processes. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliation across multiple entities. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, including proficiency with complex formulas, and experience in general ledger accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements for partnerships and multiple entities
- Manage intercompany transactions and eliminations
- Assist in oversight of the month-end close process
- Responsible for financial reporting and budget creation/review
- Review and post journal entries for accuracy
- Perform and review account reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
- Analyze expenses to ensure proper recording
- Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations
- Assist in annual financial audits and maintaining internal controls
- Utilize ERP systems to streamline financial processes, reporting, and data analysis
- Train and guide finance team members in Excel functions and ERP usage
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred)
- 1.5 to 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant handling month-end close
- Strong knowledge of debits, credits, and general ledger accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, conditional formatting, and other financial formulas)
- Experience with Yardi (preferred)
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a fast-paced team
