Title: Finance Associate
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – 3 days in the office)
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee complex private equity funds, including multiple investment vehicles and co-investments.
- Prepare and review quarterly trial balances, financial statements, and supporting workpapers in collaboration with fund administrators.
- Review capital allocations, contributions, distributions, and carried interest calculations.
- Assist with audit preparation and investor performance reporting.
- Support investor relations by responding to requests and compiling performance data.
- Collaborate on portfolio valuations and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Participate in technology and process improvement initiatives.
- Handle ad hoc requests and cross-departmental projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred but not required.
- 2-5+ years of relevant experience in public accounting, private equity fund administration, or private equity accounting.
- Strong understanding of journal entries, financial statements, and fund operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with relevant accounting systems is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation: $100,000–$145,000, with additional incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
