Position Overview
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Accountant II to join our dynamic accounting team. You will be collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals, handling everything from account reconciliations to supporting internal and external audits. This role will have the unique opportunity to help build out processes, collaborate cross-functionally and play a key role in the team's ability to scale. It will also own various functional Accounting areas and gain exposure to ad hoc projects and initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Support Accounting team in preparing internal and external audit support
- Own specific areas of the month-end close process, including journal entry preparation (accruals, prepaid, reclassification, depreciation, amortization) and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Conduct full-cycle reconciliations and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Maintain and document internal controls for compliance
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for external auditors, supporting year-end audit processes and other regulatory filings.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial data reporting.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and other duties as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
- 3–5 years of professional accounting experience
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (experience with SAGE Intacct is highly valued).
- Proficiency in advanced Excel features (e.g., V-lookups, pivot tables).
- Experience with financial audits highly preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A collaborative team player with the ability to contribute to various projects and cross-functional efforts.
