Accountant - Insurance Brokerage - Base Salary to 90k/year - Hewlett, NY

• Our client, a sixth-generation brokerage firm in the Hewlett, NY area is looking for an Accountant to join their team. They offer commercial and personal insurance & have been in business since 1895!

Responsibilities:

• The Accountant will be responsible for invoicing, basic bookkeeping/staff accounting, preparing monthly statements and financial reports, monitor General Ledger, Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable. Also, the Accountant will be doing bank reconciliations and journal entries, identify variances between actual & budget, maintain fixed asset & depreciation schedules, etc.

Qualifications:

• Accounting experience at an insurance agency preferred.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• Basic Excel experience.

Compensation:

• Base salary up to 90k/year plus a full benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, Holidays + Jewish Holidays). Hybrid schedule, 3 days in, 2 days remote.
