Accountant - Cannabis Industry
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 annually

We are seeking a detail-oriented and charismatic Accountant with cannabis industry experience to join our team. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, laws, and regulations specific to the cannabis industry. The ideal candidate will not only excel in bookkeeping and financial tasks but also foster a welcoming and collaborative environment for team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the CFO to manage financial operations, including budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state cannabis laws and regulations related to financial transactions and reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements to assist in strategic decision-making.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely completion of audits and tax filings.
• Serve as a trusted and approachable resource for team members, fostering open communication and support.
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Assist with payroll processing and employee expense tracking, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Provide financial insights to support the team in meeting operational and production goals.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in the cannabis industry.
• Strong understanding of cannabis-specific financial laws, regulations, and tax requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Charismatic and approachable, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing financial challenges.
• A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
