Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with proficiency in Korean to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires strong communication skills to effectively liaise with Korean-speaking managers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring variances and providing analysis.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations. Assist with internal and external audits as required.
Taxation: Ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.
Communication: Effectively communicate financial information to Korean-speaking managers and stakeholders. Translate financial documents as needed.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Ad Hoc Reporting: Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as required by management.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing or steel industry.
Language: Proficiency in Korean is required. Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Korean and English.
Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial record-keeping and reporting.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate with Korean-speaking managers.
Certifications: CPA or equivalent certification is preferred but not required.
