    Responsibilities

    Provide detective controls to ensure cash is collected and accurately recorded, policyholders are billed and refunded as appropriate, claims payments are appropriately settled within an acceptable timeframe, amounts due to/due from various Alfa companies are settled in compliance with company standards, and agents are paid amounts owed and billed amounts due to Alfa

    Preparing, recording, reporting and/or analyzing moderately complex financial information in compliance with applicable accounting guidance, regulatory requirements, and rating agency guidelines within an appropriate control environment.

    Reconciling and/or reviewing moderately complex general leger accounts and assessing the appropriate accounting treatment under management direction.

    Providing support to others.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (or equivalent) degree with a focus in Accounting required.

    CPA designation preferred.

    At least one year of experience in the insurance accounting field or equivalent experience in a business environment, including SAP/GAAP applications, or equivalent public accounting experience preferred.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
