    Milbern Ray is a family owned full service CPA firm. We have many clients in the tri state area and handle a wide array of complex tax matters and all levels of financial reporting needed. We are currently seeking an Accounting Support staff to join our dynamic team.

    The Accounting Administrative Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Office Manager, and the duties include performing administrative and clerical functions to aid in the delivery of services to our clients.

    This position requires that an individual have strong multi‐tasking abilities and is capable of working independently. Solid organizational and communication skills are a must. The Office Manager will provide on the job training on daily operational tasks. The responsibilities and requirements of the position are as follows:

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Assist with monthly billing
    • Providing backup support to other departments and teams when necessary
    • Greeting clients, answering phone calls
    • Produce correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms.
    • Collecting and processing client payments and fees.
    • Process tax returns for clients
    • Process quarterly payroll reports for clients
    • Carrying out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc
    • Cover the reception desk when required.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment
    • Proficient in current and new office technology
    • Willingness to learn how public accounting services work

    Requirements

    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • High School Diploma
    • Must be teachable with a positive attitude and be a team player
    • This position is suited to a self‐starter that is able to adapt quickly.
    • Overtime hours required from January 15th to April 15th, with straight overtime paid for the additional hours worked.
    • Previous CPA firm experience or admin work a plus
    • Experience with Quickbooks a plus
    • Able to work fully onsite in our office located in Southlake, Texas
