Experience & Technical Skills:
Knowledge of electronic timekeeping systems, LANL craft payroll processes, and financial concepts.
Strong numerical accuracy and ability to perform arithmetic operations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Email) and familiarity with financial software or ERP systems.
Confidentiality & Communication:
Understanding of confidentiality and handling of personally identifiable information (PII).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear information exchange.
Organizational & Teamwork Abilities:
Strong organizational skills to manage priorities, meet strict deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
Effective team player with a willingness to support others and take on new tasks.
Leadership & Direction:
Ability to provide guidance, training, and mentorship to departmental staff when required.
This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Education/Experience
Position requires a minimum of 3 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. At this level, additional training, certification, and/or education may be expected, such as college level business courses.
Desired Qualifications:
One (1) year work experience with LANL union craft timekeeping.
One (1) year work experience with spreadsheets, electronic financial or payroll systems
