    Accounting Assistant – What You Will Do

    You will work directly with the Owner and Project Management team to support daily accounting operations and construction accounting.

    • Perform full cycle accounts payable process from initial purchase order and invoice to matching the invoice and job costing it to assign costs to all jobs – very detailed!
    • Perform and oversee the accounts receivable and billing process to ensure timely cash collection
    • Credit card tracking and credit card reconciliations
    • Establish and document accounting policies and procedures, creating an accounting department procedure playbook for future company growth
    • Pull reports and provide data and analysis to management as needed

    Accounting Assistant – Required Skills, Experience & Personality Fit

    You have:

    • Prior experience in a bookkeeping / accounting role that includes processing full cycle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) and cash flow management
    • Grit – you work well in a small business where you support the owner directly, wear many hats, pivot every day and troubleshoot challenges with independent critical thought
    • Attention to detail – you have a keen eye, double check your work and value quality and accuracy
    • MS Excel skills (intermediate) – complex formulas, large multi-tab spreadsheets

    Accounting Assistant – You Might Have (Desired, Not Required)

    You might have:

    • Prior experience with construction accounting
    • Prior experience using Quickbooks software

    This role is 100% in office in Sacramento, California in the Natomas area.

    Compensation $70,000 - $80,000 salary, depending on experience.
