Job Summary
We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will manage the company’s bills and ensure all invoices are paid in a timely manner. Responsibilities will include receiving and preparing accounts payable invoices, handling expense reports, and assisting the Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, computer savvy, and has a strong understanding of accounting, payments, and QuickBooks.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
· Process accounts payable and accounts receivable in QuickBooks
· Perform accurate data entry into QuickBooks
· File Multi-State Sales & Use Taxes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
· Provide administrative support to the Accounting Manager
· Maintain organized records and documentation for accounting transactions
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel
· Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processing or related clerical accounting duties
· Proficient in using QuickBooks
· Basic understanding of Accounting Principles, including journal entries
· Familiarity with Multi-State Sales & Use Tax returns
· Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
· Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to effectively multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
