    General Job Description

    Qualifications:

    Education & Work Experience:

    Work Experience Required:

    · 1-3 years’ experience in accounting practices or Accounting Degree

    · Preferable experience in medical accounting practices

    Skills/Knowledge Required:

    Strong attention to detail

    Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)

    Excellent organizational skills

    Numerical accuracy

    Basic understanding of accounting principles

    Good communication skills

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

    Data entry: Entering financial transactions into accounting software, including invoices, receipts, and expense reports.

    Accounts payable/receivable: Processing invoices from vendors, sending miscellaneous invoices to clients, and reconciling accounts to ensure accurate balances.

    Payroll processing: Assisting with payroll calculations and data entry as directed.

    Financial reporting: Helping to prepare financial statements like balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

    File maintenance: Organizing and maintaining accounting documents and records.

    General ledger updates: Posting transactions to the general ledger as directed.

    Budgeting support: Assisting with budget preparation and tracking.

    Customer interaction: Responding to customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments.

    Compliance checks: Ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulations.

    Physical Demands:

    · Requires a full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

    · It requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carry items weigh 25 pounds.

    · Requires corrective vision and hearing to normal range. May require working under occasional stressful conditions and or irregular hours.

    Typical Working Conditions:

    · Infrequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medical preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
