New Spirit Naturals is a dynamic and growing health and wellness company seeking a highly motivated individual to join our finance team as an Accounting Assistant. As a key player in our organization, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of our financial operations and gain valuable experience in the field.

Position Summary: The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for supporting various financial tasks and assisting with day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, proficient experience with QuickBooks and a team player.

Responsibilities:

Perform data entry and bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.

Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies on a regular basis.

Process accounts payable.

Maintain organized and efficient filing systems.

Collaborate with Accounting Manger to resolve financial issues and discrepancies.

Participate in HR projects and initiatives

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field a PLUS.

Experience in Human Resources a Plus but not required.

Proficient experience with QuickBooks software is required.

Knowledge of Shopify Analytics and Reports a PLUS.

Understanding of basic accounting principles.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work collaboratively with the Accounting manager in a team-oriented environment.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
