About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounting Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. We pride ourselves on fostering a friendly and adaptable work environment where process improvement is highly valued. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic construction environment and be an integral part of our finance team. This role is Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Responsibilities:

Manage all accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.

Process employee timecards and ensure accurate job costing.

Handle certified payroll reporting and tax-related tasks.

Assist with month-end and year-end financial closings.

Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting.

Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.

Assist with financial audits as needed.

Maintain strict confidentiality of company, employee, and financial information.

Collaborate with team members to meet strict deadlines.

Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement.

This role will also include answering phones, greeting clients, review construction daily reports, etc.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of consecutive experience in bookkeeping or accounting.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

Knowledge of accounting principles and practices

Proficiency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly adapt to new software and tools.

Experience with Quickbooks and/or Sage 100.

Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

Self-starter who requires little to no direction.

Strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.

Personable and friendly, with the ability to work well in a team.

Adaptable to change and proactive in seeking process improvements.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
