HGM Glass is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting and Bookkeeping Specialist to manage financial operations and ensure the accuracy of our financial records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including invoicing, job costing, reconciliations, and financial reporting, to support the financial health and operational success of HGM Glass. Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable: • Prepare and issue invoices to customers. • Monitor and manage customer payments to ensure timely collection. • Follow up on outstanding invoices and handle collections. Accounts Payable: • Enter and process vendor bills accurately. • Manage payment schedules to ensure timely disbursements. • Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies. Job Costing: • Assign and track costs to specific jobs or projects. • Analyze job profitability and prepare detailed cost reports. Monthly Reconciliation: • Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts. • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. Financial Reporting: • Generate monthly financial statements and custom reports as needed. • Provide insights into financial performance and trends to the Operations Manager. General Accounting: • Maintain the integrity of the QuickBooks Online system, ensuring accurate data entry and recordkeeping. • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. • Support the preparation of documents for tax filings and audits. Qualifications: • Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software, such as Quickbooks • Must be well-versed in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) • Must have a high school diploma or GED; highly prefer a degree in finance or related field • Excellent math skills, relationship skills, communication skills, and customer service skills are crucial Compensation: $22 hourly
