    Job Summary

    We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our Property Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of resident payments and processing client invoices. Your duties will include reviewing account information and correcting errors, creating invoices, processing payment of client invoices and other administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with strong mathematical skills and a commitment to accuracy.

    Responsibilities

    Processing and accurately recording transactions

    Maintaining detailed records of payments and account statuses

    Sending reminders regarding overdue payments

    Researching any account discrepancies and taking appropriate action for resolution

    Creating accurate and informative reports

    Collaborating with other departments to gather additional information, ensure accounts are up-to-date, and develop repayment plans

    Communicating with clients regarding the payments on their accounts

    Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department

    Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records

    Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements

    Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database

    Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies

    Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas

    Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws

    Constantly update job knowledge

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field

    Previous experience as an Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk or in a similar position

    Advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting software

    Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

    Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices

    Excellent problem-solving and research skills

    Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
