    Job Title: Accounting Clerk Reports To: Executive Director/Operations Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Part-Time)

    Summary: The Accounting Clerk is responsible for recording, organizing, and maintaining the organization’s financial transactions and records with accuracy and efficiency. This role includes managing day-to-day accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will also analyze financial data to provide insights that support informed decision-making and contribute to the organization’s overall financial health.

    Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.

    Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports and ledgers.

    Prepare monthly invoicing for grants/projects.

    Process payroll and manage employee expense reports.

    Ensure compliance with financial regulations, funding sources and Organization policies.

    Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting.

    Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and reports.

    Serve as a back-up for remote deposits & off-site deposits

    Maintain W9’s for all accounts payable vendors.

    Participate in fundraising and LTCC community events.

    Language Ability:

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

    Math Ability:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Computer Skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have expertise in Google Docs, Google Sheets and Quickbooks.

    Education/Experience:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and Accounting Certificate or 2-year associate in a related field and a minimum of two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior work experience in accounting is preferred.
