JOB DESCRIPTION: Korean American Family Services (KFAM) is a non-profit organization specializing in family violence, mental health, and social services for Korean and API immigrant families. KFAM is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and hardworking individual for Accounting Clerk position. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with full-time opportunity. Individual will perform entry-level accounting-related duties and will report to Finance Manager.
DUTIES: Bookkeeping:
Issue, send out and file A/Ps and A/Rs
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Input and file invoices
Review and generate reports and organize data
Assist in preparing various agency correspondences to grantors, auditors, banks and vendors
Organize and file documents in a timely manner
General Accounting and Program Financial Management:
Work closely with accounting firm to create monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
Complete financial management, invoicing and reporting tasks for all programs
Assist program directors in monthly reporting and annual budget development
Assist with annual financial statement audits and program audits
Process electronic data interchange billing and reports for government contracts with LA DMH, LA DCFS, DSS and others
Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Quickbooks required
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, able to balance priorities, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively.
Comfortable with computers and navigating online systems
Bilingual in an API language preferred
