  • Responsibilities

    As a Bookkeeper at The Income Tax Center, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of client's accounting processes. You will work closely with our accounting team to manage various financial transactions, perform reconciliations, and provide clients with timely and accurate financial information. You’ll be responsible for recording financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, and posting information to accounting journals and QuickBooks. Responsibilities: • Complete bookkeeping duties: Data entry and record maintenance • Process accounts receivable and accounts payable in a timely manner • Ensure all books reconcile with bank statements and prepare financial statements • Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct daybook, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger • Properly record financial transactions Qualifications: • 2+ years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a bookkeeper, cost accountant, management accountant, or similar position • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel, and basic accounting systems • Must be well-versed in general accepted accounting principles (GAAP) • Must exhibit exemplary problem-solving, communication, and time management skills • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field • 10+ years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a bookkeeper, cost accountant, management accountant, or similar position. Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000 yearly
