    Job Description

    ABOUT US:

    We are seeking an experienced and strategic Accounting Controller, Americas, to lead all accounting and controllership responsibilities for our subsidiaries primarily in the United States as well as other countries in the region. This key leadership position reports to the SVP Corporate Controller in Europe and will play a critical role in ensuring our financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency in the Americas.

    THE CHALLENGE:

    • Oversee accounting operations across the Americas region, including general ledger, payroll, and the month-end close process, ensuring consistency and accuracy across entities.
    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and applicable local regulatory requirements.
    • Leverage deep knowledge of SOX and public company standards to develop, implement, and maintain robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
    • Serve as a key liaison with internal and external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure successful audits and ongoing compliance.
    • Lead and mentor high-performing accounting and payroll teams across multiple jurisdictions, fostering a culture of operational excellence, collaboration, and professional growth.
    • Act as a strategic business partner to tax, treasury, sales, FP&A, internal controls, and compliance teams, providing financial insights and operational support to help drive business success.
    • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, automation, and standardization to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

    ABOUT YOU:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification required.
    • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role
    • Strong understanding of IFRS (or willingness to learn) and SOX compliance required.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or OneStream as well as experience working with international accounting teams a plus.
    • Demonstrated success in implementing and enhancing internal controls, policies, and processes.
    • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and partner with a wide range of departments.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead, influence, and inspire diverse teams.
    • High level of integrity and commitment to ethical business practices.
    • Experience working in a public company or with a multinational organization is a strong plus.

    Pay Range : $150,000 - $190,000
    Sportradar intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications, and location. Base pay is just one component of the Total Rewards that Sportradar provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
