Accounting Controller

Araceli Biosciences has developed the first modern High Content Imaging platform capable of imaging and analyzing assay plates up to 40x faster than the current standard with industry leading image quality. Our customers use our platform to perform drug screens on larger libraries, under more conditions, in a fraction of the time they are used to. JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accounting Controller to join our team. In this role you will be reporting to our CFO. This role is pivotal to our growth and will have a direct impact on our financial operations and overall business success. This position will be responsible for the full scope of GAAP accounting. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include all aspects of managing the accounting transaction flow at a rapidly growing biosciences company. This is a very broad scope role that is perfectly suited for the type of person who can manage complex and varied tasks . You will have the opportunity to interact and work directly with all levels of the organization as well as all of the functions; engineering, marketing, sales, operations, and administrative.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Financial reporting and compliance
• Maintaining the accounting system and records
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Banking and cash management
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Revenue, inventory and cost accounting
• Payroll systems and benefits
• Balance sheet accounting including all classes of assets and liabilities
• Journal entries, account reconciliations, and other duties as required
• Audit and tax preparation

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a controller or senior accounting role
• Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Startup or manufacturing experience is a plus
• Familiarity with financial/ERP software (Oracle NetSuite)
• High commitment to accuracy is a must
• Strong analytical and Excel skills

JOB LOCATION:

This position is on-site at our Tigard, OR headquarters (near Hwy 217 & I-5). This role is expected to work on-site, during regular business hours.
