    Job Description

    The Accounting Coordinator will be a critical member of the Accounting team, processing payments and maintaining the Foundation’s reputation for accurate and timely payments. This position is responsible for performing accounting and procedural work in a fast-paced, high-growth, and dynamic environment. Responsibilities will include accurate and timely reporting of financial information, and performing monthly closing duties including reconciliation. This position reports to the Senior Director of Accounting.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintains accurate and systematic records of foundation business transactions, ensuring revenue and expenditures are appropriately recorded and allocated by specific programs;
    • Records financial data necessary for the preparation of monthly financial statements and program-based reports;
    • Prepares credit card reconciliations and travel reimbursements;
    • Tracks and manages accounts payable, coordinates with program leads for proper coding;
    • Completes special projects and analysis for management as assigned by the Senior Director of Accounting;
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Position Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required;
    • A minimum of three (3) years experience in accounting work;
    • Friendly, helpful attitude and willingness to collaborate;
    • Demonstrated advanced expertise in Quickbooks Online required;
    • Ability to work virtually in an environment conducive to concentration.
    • Nonprofit accounting experience preferred;
    • Strong proficiency in GSuite platforms; Experience preferred in Microsoft Office, and Adobe.

    • Willingness to engage in continuous learning and training.

    Compensation

    Compensation ranges between $46,000-$58,000 per year and will be commensurate with the candidate’s previous experience and credentials. We are a fully remote organization whose headquarters are located in Boulder, CO, with team members spread across the US. This position is remote and can be based anywhere in the U.S.
