Job Summary:
Responsible for all accounts payable, accounts receivable, daily audit, and reporting. Maintains accounting systems that ensure the proper accounting and recording of invoices, and timely collection of groups, members & wholesale billing.
Essential Functions:
- Audit and post all invoices to resort accounting system.
- Generate vendor payments on scheduled pay dates
- Reconcile vendor statements to payables system.
- File all open and paid invoices in appropriate files.
- Resolve all staff and vendor questions and problems regarding accounts payable.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Analyze and resolve all outstanding balances on City Ledger accounts
- Promptly bill all groups, members, and wholesale accounts
- Collect by phone or mail all outstanding receivables.
- Reconcile Wedding Deposits to ensure all are prepaid
- Have complete knowledge of all policies, standards and procedures of the department
Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of two (2) years' accounts receivable and payable experience, preferably in the hospitality and/or restaurant field.
- Working knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems, preferably in a hospitality environment.
- Well-developed administrative skills, with proven ability to assist other staff members with questions and problems.
- Well organized with strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
