    Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Accounting Manager to oversee the cost accounting functions for our manufacturing operations in Miami. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting, with specific experience in manufacturing environments, maintenance shops, and work orders.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Cost Accounting: Oversee and manage all cost accounting activities related to the manufacturing operations, with a focus on maintenance shops and engine work.
    • Work Order Reconciliation: Ensure proper reconciliation of work orders, including the alignment of labor hours and parts costs.
    • Inventory Management: Manage inventory processes, including cycle counts, and ensure accurate inventory records and reporting.
    • Financial Reporting: Compile financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Work closely with the General Ledger (GL) to prepare month-end financial results.
    • Work in GL: Support the month-end close process, including posting journal entries and analyzing variances to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
    • ASC 330 & 606: Knowledge of ASC 330 for inventory and ASC 606 for revenue recognition is preferred, but not required.
    • Team Leadership: Oversee and manage a team of individuals. Lead and guide team members to ensure smooth financial operations.
    • Quantam Experience: Experience with Quantam is a huge plus and will be considered highly beneficial for this role.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or maintenance environment.
    • Strong understanding of financial statements and reporting.
    • Experience in inventory management, including cycle counts and reconciliation.
    • Familiarity with ASC 330 and ASC 606, particularly in the context of manufacturing and maintenance operations.
    • Proficiency in financial software and systems (Quantam experience is a significant advantage).
    • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and oversee teams effectively.
    • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with General Ledger (GL) and month-end close processes.
    • Knowledge of cost accounting in maintenance shops and engine work.
    • Ability to reconcile work orders and align financial data across various departments.
