    Job Description

    THE POSITION :

    The Accounting Manager will take the financial lead within the EVERSANA accounting team in establishing and directing accounting processes, The Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting transactions and reconciliations including posting and reviewing entries to the general ledger, analyzing data and collaborating with employees throughout the organization. This position also works with third party auditors to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage day-to-day accounting activities to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies, controls, and external audits
    • Oversee and coordinate the full cycle general ledger financial close process including meeting established month end close deadlines for preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting packages
    • Oversee the account reconciliation process and lead the resolutions of issues on assigned account to ensure proper and accurate reporting
    • Identify areas of concern in accounting records and provide proactive analysis and support to the company
    • Prepare audit schedules and work with auditors on questions
    • Recommend and implement improvements to accounting plans, procedures and policies
    • Lead the accounting integration of acquisitions
    • Identify opportunities and make recommendations for cost reductions/improvements
    • Capable of communicating with all levels within the organization
    • Serve as backup to other roles within the Finance department as needed

In addition to the critical management and leadership tasks listed above, this role also includes the following unique responsibilities: __

    • Responsible for and oversee accounting team members including hiring, training, coaching, development and evaluation
    • Review work performed by accounting team members including journal entries and reconciliations to ensure they are properly supported, complete, accurate, and in compliance with U.S. GAAP
    • Determine job objectives, work methods and performance standards; review performance relative to departmental objectives; authorize and communicate salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline, and discharge and administer all other personnel actions.

    EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:

    • Travel – approximately 5-10%
    • Hours – 40+, typically Monday-Friday

    MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

    • Education : B.B.A. in Accounting
    • Experience and/or Training * Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in an Accounting role * Extensive knowledge of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and significant experience in preparation of periodic financial reporting packages * Experience in supporting International Subsidiaries in a Global environment * Experience in the management of teams including coaching, mentoring and providing verbal and written performance feedback * Prior experience in preparation and/or review of periodic journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany transactions * Detail oriented with strong organization skills * Proven ability to work independently, yet function effectively within a collaborative team environment
    • Technology/Equipment - Experience in the use of complex spreadsheets and accounting systems.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience and/or Training - Public Accounting experience a plus
    • Licenses/Certificates – CPA preferred
    • Technology/Equipment - Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O preferred

    Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.

    EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $102,500 to $120,500 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living).
