Accounting Manager – Manufacturing – Columbus, OH (Onsite)

We are recruiting for an Accounting Manager to join a well-established manufacturing company in the Columbus, OH area. This is a 5-day onsite role reporting directly to the CFO, serving as their right hand in managing all aspects of accounting while the CFO focuses on high-level finance and strategy. This is a hands-on role with significant responsibility and room to grow into a Controller position in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financials.
• Prepare and produce all financial statements and reporting packages.
• Manage and maintain the general ledger and perform all reconciliations.
• Oversee all financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Work closely with auditors and prepare for the annual audit.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, driving process improvements.
• Utilize NetSuite ERP to ensure transactions flow properly through the system.
• Support the CFO in financial planning and analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA, CMA, or Master’s degree a plus but not required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with manufacturing exposure preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NetSuite or another ERP system, with an understanding of how transactions flow through an ERP.
• Experience managing the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, financial reporting, and audits.
• Hands-on approach, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of accounting functions.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
