    Construction Accounting Manager Job Summary: Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

    We are seeking a skilled Construction Accounting Manager to join our team for Street, Road & Highway Construction. The ideal candidate acts as the financial steward of the company, overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reports, compliance with legal regulations, and the implementation of effective financial strategies and controls. The role will cover a broad range of financial functions including cash management, preparation and review of profit and loss statements, balance sheet reconciliations, financial job reviews, and more.

    Responsibilities:

    · Managing construction projects’ finances and budgets.

    · Handling invoicing and payment processing for construction projects.

    · Monitoring project expenses and cash flow.

    · Preparing financial statements and reports for construction projects.

    · Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

    · Collaborating with project managers to develop detailed, cost-effective budgets.

    · Performing accounting duties throughout the project, such as preparing invoices and estimating cash flow.

    · Company payroll through ADP Software

    Skills:

    · Knowledge of finance, accounting, and cost control principles including GAAP

    · Comprehension of federal and state compliance regulation

    · Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports and statements

    · Computer skills related to the preparation of financial schedules and reports

    · Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and enable team members to produce quality materials within requested timeframes

    · Skills normally acquired through a combination of the completion of an accounting degree, three to five years of experience in a senior-level accounting position or public accounting

    · Proficiency with ADP, QuickBooks, and Excel including other MS Suite programs

    · Experience with construction management software such as PROCORE, and Bluebeam a plus

    · Construction Accounting: 4+ years preferred in Roadway, Highway, or Heavy Civil

    · Work Location: In person

    Requirements:

    · Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in construction accounting; Roadway, Highway, or Heavy Civil preferred.

    · Holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

    · Equivalent work experience will be considered.

    · Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

    · Exceptional computer skills

    · Proficient in ADP, QuickBooks, MS Suite,

    · Ability to analyze problems and create solutions that add value to the client and the company

    Education:

    · Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

    · Equivalent work experience will be considered.
