    With over 60 years in business and $12M in revenue, this small yet stable firm is looking for an accountant with manufacturing experience to take ownership of key financial functions. In this role, you’ll oversee high-level accounting operations, ensuring a strong grasp on the company’s financial health while leading the Office Manager who assists with AP and various accounting tasks.

    To be considered for this role, candidates must have manufacturing cost accounting experience specifically with respect to overhead allocation to manufactured inventory.

    Manager Responsibilities:

    • Ensure compliance with financial procedures and internal controls, maintaining consistency and standardization across processes.
    • Identify and resolve financial discrepancies, acting as a key decision-maker when issues arise.
    • Oversee budget preparation and maintenance, verifying funding availability before commitments and ensuring expenditures stay within approved limits.
    • Coordinate the financial forecasting process, including budgets, periodic forecasts, and annual plans.
    • Lead month-end closing tasks, providing a consolidated view of operational results.
    • Analyze and assess variances between forecasted and actual results, offering insights for improvement.
    • Interpret financial performance data and recommend cost-reduction and profit-improvement strategies.
    • Monitor and track product margins, inventory turnover, costs, and key financial metrics.
    • Validate the accuracy of standard costs and rates at each site.
    • Ensure alignment between production metrics and financial reporting.
    • Assist in developing action plans, ensuring financial evaluations and follow-ups are conducted effectively.
    • Oversee payroll and 401K administration, including 5500 filing, payroll approval, check runs, and benefits administration.
    • Provide management and administrative support for site leadership.

    Accounting Manager Qualifications:

    • Expertise in Manufacturing Accounting Operations.
    • 5+ years’ experience in aerospace manufacturing or other related industries
    • Working Knowledge of financial statements, job profitability analysis, COGS, and revenue recognition according to GAAP.
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or at least three years of related experience
    • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems, ProShop ERP and QuickBooks preferred.

    Compensation: $95,000 - $105,000 (DOE)
