Accounting Manager

Join our well-established client, a regarded commercial general contractor boasting over 20+ years of industry experience. They are currently seeking an Accounting Manager to complement their existing accounting team of five.

In this pivotal role, the Accounting Manager will be instrumental in financial management, fostering collaboration across different teams, and maintaining a close working relationship with the CFO. This opportunity is tailor-made for an individual with accounting experience in the construction industry, meticulous attention to detail, and a preference for collaborative work environments.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

• Lead budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance reporting.
• Manage accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
• Handle government reporting, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and enforce internal controls and accounting policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors and address recommendations.
• Review payroll submissions, including union reporting and certified payrolls.
• Ensure all projects are fully billed and paid before closing.
  

Accounting Manager Qualifications:

• 5+ years of accounting experience including at least 2+ years of Construction accounting experience (job costing, WIP schedules).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or combinations of equivalent experience and education.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Expertise in financial reporting, audits, and corporate tax documentation
• Knowledge of Acumatica Software is a plus!
• Strong understanding of Department of Labor regulations
• Leadership experience in managing teams and aligning strategies with company goals

Compensation: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
