  • Responsibilities

    Seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Accounting Manager. This person will lead all aspects of the financial reporting and financial operations while working closely with the office administration team. The ideal candidate will be excited about contributing to the team's success and will have a team-player mentality. This role is in-person at the office in Athens, GA, with flexibility to work remotely on occasion.


    Job Responsibilities

    • Monthly financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, including all journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliation schedules
    • Managing A/P and check runs
    • Calculating and reporting monthly state sales and use tax
    • Cash management and cash forecasting
    • Maintaining fixed asset records
    • Payroll; gather time punches for hourly team members and communicate to Payroll Admin for further processing
    • Maintaining proper accounting procedures and controls and related documentation
    • Working with office administration team and providing accounting guidance
    • Processing W-9 requests, COI requests (and other compliance)
    • Coordinating with Group Controller to provide financial information as requested
    • Developing and implementing process improvements in the finance functions
    • Managing audit requests
    • Other duties as assigned

    ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT
    This position will report to the branch leader and work closely with the corporate finance team based in Austin TX.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting
    • Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
    • Deep understanding of financial close process including the preparation journal entries, reconciliation schedules and financial statement package
    • Experience in financial operations including A/R, A/P, treasury, payroll, state, local, and sales tax compliance
    • Great written and verbal communication skills
    • Advanced computer skills and ability to quickly learn and adopt new software tools, experience with accounting software
    • High degree of professionalism and strong sense of ownership and pride in your work
    • Working knowledge of Global Edge Davisware, SAGE Intacct, a plus
    • Background in trades environment: construction, electrical, HVAC, a plus
    • CPA or desire to pursue CPA designation, a plus
