Position: Accounting Manager

Pay: $150,000-$170,000 per year
Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead their accounting team and elevate the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations. This role is integral to the corporate accounting function, responsible for overseeing audits, financial reporting, and maintaining compliance. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization’s financial integrity and success.

~ What You’ll Do as an Accounting Manager ~Leadership & Team Management: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of accounting professionals. Create a positive, collaborative environment where people can thrive.
Handle Audits: Take charge of the annual audit, working closely with external auditors to make sure everything’s in line and deadlines are met.
Financial Reporting: Oversee monthly close processes, ensuring every detail is accurate and on point. You’ll provide clear financial statement analysis and help keep everything organized.
Ensure Compliance: Develop accounting policies, ensure everything is compliant with GAAP, and manage reporting for stakeholders.
Debt & Compliance Management: Keep debt schedules up to date and handle reports for lenders, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
Support Tax & Compliance: Assist with property tax, annual returns, and compliance across the board.
Streamline Processes: Find ways to make our financial processes faster and more efficient, with a focus on accuracy.
Project Leadership: Work cross-functionally on projects that move the company forward and bring value to the team.
~ What You’ll Bring to the Accounting Manager Role ~
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
Experience: 3+ years in corporate accounting, and with at least 1 year in public accounting preferred.
Skills: Strong GAAP knowledge, financial reporting expertise, and advanced Excel skills. Great communication and analytical skills are key.
Personal Qualities: A sharp eye for detail, ability to juggle multiple projects, and a knack for leading teams.
