A successful, stable, and entrepreneurial company is looking for highly visible role to work with the Controller and the accounting team. Responsible for many of the accounting functions of the company, including, but not limited to, maintaining the accuracy of general ledger, managing monthly accounting close, reviewing budget to actual variances with leaders in other departments, managing company’s AP and GL functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting

• Manage and report weekly CF forecast.
• Review and report weekly/daily KPI.
• Review and approve expense reports.
• Prepare, review, and approve various journal entries.

Monthly Close

• Responsible for the preparation/review of reconciliation of assigned areas of the balance sheets and income statements.
• Prepare/review and approve journal entries.
• Manage and review monthly calculation of royalties, sales commissions, sales taxes, transportation cost accrual.
• Manage and review reconciliation of Prepaid Expenses, Fixed Assets, AP accrual, Corporate Credit Card, Other Current Liabilities and Line of Credit
• Review Landed Cost allocation and account reconciliation

Accounts Payable

• Review vendor application, set up and approve new vendors in NetSuite
• Review bi-monthly check run and present to Controller and CFO
• Conduct periodic review of three-way match to ensure invoice accuracy
• Oversee AP function to ensure vendor inquiries are addressed in a timely manner

Other Tasks

• Ensure sales taxes are properly filed by third party.
• Ensure royalty reports are timely and accurately distributed to partners.
• Assist Controller in ensuring Financial and Tax audits are completed within assigned timelines.

SKILLS

• NetSuite experience preferred or significant experience with Oracle systems
• Detail oriented
• Advanced level of excel
• Consumer goods experience (specifically with sales discounts and returns)
• Inventory valuation and landed cost allocation experience preferred
• Ecommerce Cash Account Reconciliation experience preferred
• Team management experience is required (will manage a team of 3 people)
• Ability to operate in high pace environment is required
• Proven record of adaptability to change is required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA is preferred but not required
  
• 3+ years of experience
