    Our client is a rapidly growing organization committed to modernizing our processes and building a strong foundation for future success. This role offers the opportunity to contribute enhance accounting operations, including multi-tier accounting structures, true GAAP accounting practices, and leadership of teams. As our client continues to grow, this position will play a critical role in driving process improvements, streamlining workflows, and ensuring our financial systems meet the needs of our expanding business.

    The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Leading and mentoring a team of accountants, training, and performance management.

    Driving process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

    Handling debt and cash flow forecasting.

    Overseeing the month-end close process and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

    Preparing and reviewing budgets and financial reports.

    Reviewing and posting journal entries for accuracy.

    Performing and reviewing account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.

    Creating, reviewing, and posting weekly/monthly journal entries.

    Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

    Documenting accounting processes and monitoring internal controls.

    Utilizing the ERP system to streamline financial processes, reporting, and data analysis.

    Training and guiding finance team members in ERP system utilization for reporting and analysis.

    Conducting in-depth financial analysis, variance analysis, and performance assessments.

    Creating comprehensive financial reports and presentations for the executive leadership team.

    Managing annual financial audits, including data collection and external relationship management.

    Managing third-party accounting relationships.

    Assisting in tax return preparation using internal software.



    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred).
    • 2 + years of management experience
    • Public Accounting experience desired
    • Strong understanding of accounting theory and principles.
    • 5+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant with month-end close responsibilities.
    • Proven management experience, including leading and mentoring teams.
    • Demonstrated success in process improvement and driving operational efficiency.
    • Experience with GAAP accounting and multi-tier accounting structures.
    • Proven ability to build and manage project teams, including hiring and firing responsibilities.
    • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
    • Proficiency in Yardi and general ledger accounting principles.
    • Strong knowledge of debits, credits, and financial reporting.
    • Sense of ownership and ability to execute tasks with attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
    • Experience with maintaining and utilizing accounting software packages.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
