    About Us We are a growing distribution & light manufacturing company generating approximately $13 million in annual revenue. Our close-knit team in Alpharetta is committed to providing top-quality products and exceptional service. We’re seeking an Accounting Manager who can oversee our AR/AP Specialists, ensure accurate financial reporting, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Supervise AR/AP Functions

    Manage and mentor the AR and AP Specialists to maintain accurate ledgers and timely invoice/payment processing.

    Oversee day-to-day collections, payment posting, and vendor payment schedules.

    Collections & Customer Payment Methods

    Provide oversight of collection activity to ensure outstanding balances are addressed promptly.

    Evaluate and refine customer payment methods (e.g., ACH, credit card, check) to streamline and optimize the collections process.

    Collaborate with sales and customer service on any escalated issues or payment disputes.

    Financial Reporting & Month-End Close

    Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes, including timely reconciliations (bank, credit cards, balance sheet accounts).

    Prepare and review financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) and provide insights to executive management.

    Chart of Accounts & Systems Oversight

    Maintain and update the chart of accounts to accurately reflect business operations and evolving product lines.

    Ensure product details, costs, and SKUs are current and accurately recorded in the accounting system.

    Keep customer and vendor profiles up to date, incorporating credit terms, contact details, and relevant notes.

    Process Improvements

    Identify and implement strategies to reduce manual tasks, leverage automation (e.g., QuickBooks Online integrations), and improve overall efficiency.

    Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial data and ensure compliance with GAAP.

    Compliance & Audit

    Ensure adherence to GAAP, as well as any relevant federal, state, or local regulations.

    Act as the main point of contact for external auditors and tax consultants, compiling necessary documentation and insights.

    Team Leadership

    Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to AR/AP Specialists.

    Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the accounting department.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA a plus).

    5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

    Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online (or comparable accounting software).

    In-depth knowledge of GAAP and AR/AP best practices.

    Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

    Compensation & Benefits

    Base Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000 (commensurate with experience).

    Possible Bonus: Based on performance metrics (e.g., DSO reduction, accuracy in financial reporting).
