    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

    This position earns an hourly wage. In addition to that, we have full medical, dental, and vision insurance as well as competitive 401k (up to 4% match) and PTO programs (15+ days/year).

    This position will provide day to day assistance in finance and accounting functions reporting directly to the Accounting Manager. Areas of engagement: Purchasing, AP, AR, & Treasury Management.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Provide timely and accurate accounts payable processing. This includes reviewing invoices for proper approval and coding, entering invoices into the accounting system, and filing all vouchers weekly.

    Responsible for processing department purchasing requests. This includes accepting and placing supply orders and ensuring department needs are being met.

    Accurately prepare, review and enter all journal entries in to the accounting system.

    Perform treasury management functions. This includes entering all bank deposits into the accounting system and run checks through a scanner for deposit daily.

    Reconcile accounts to general ledger, including analyzing and reviewing account codes and identifying potential errors and variances weekly.

    Assist with annual audits and preparation of financial documents by ensuring information is accurate, organized to allow for a smooth audit process.

    Perform other duties within the Accounting & Finance department as well as support the organization as needed.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    SKILL REQUIREMENTS

    Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    Mathematical Skills – Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

    Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Accounting Software and Microsoft Office Suite products.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

    Minimum Requirements

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • At least 2 years’ experience in accounting or finance required
    • Experienced user of Microsoft Office Applications – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
    • Experience in Accounting Systems - QuickBooks preferred
