    Job Description

You are a multi-tasker and able to work independently performing a wide range of accounting, accounts payable and general cashing tasks to include supporting other members of the team.

    Reporting to the Director of Credit & Group Billing, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

    • Coordinate interdepartmentally as it relates to group and guest issues
    • Participate in training activities to improve knowledge + skills
    • Communicate well with all clients and guests, anticipate and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
    • Monitor, supervise and prepare month-end balance sheet account reconciliation
    • Prepare forecast vs. actual group commissions and communicate variance to Director of Finance
    • Prepare and complete the income audit two days weekly
    • Prepare and generate timely group, catering and wedding billing and process payment
    • Inspect all in-house accounts to ensure adherence to resort’s credit policy and assist with collection efforts as necessary
    • Monitor accounts receivable as required
    • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
    • Assist in the month end reporting and procedures
    • Perform filing and administrative tasks
    • Follow departmental policies and procedures
    • Follow all safety policies
    • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years in hospitality accounting or equivalent experience required
    • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications or relevant computer applications required
    • University/College degree in a related discipline an asset
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
    • Ability to multi task in a high speed environment
    • Attention to detail a must
    • Ability to adhere to deadlines
    • Highly responsible & reliable
    • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
    • Remain calm and courteous at all time
