    Job Overview:

    We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our accounting team. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for supporting various accounting functions, including accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting. This role requires someone with strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Accounts Payable:

    Process vendor invoices, ensure accuracy, and prepare payments.

    Reconcile accounts payable records.

    Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve discrepancies.

    General Ledger Maintenance:

    Assist with journal entries and monthly reconciliations.

    Ensure accuracy of data and compliance with accounting standards.

    Financial Reporting:

    Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

    Compliance & Audits:

    Assist in preparing for audits and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.

    Store Level Operations:

    Maintain Property Tax Listings

    Monitor store expenses

    Verify store deposits

    Team Collaboration:

    Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data.

    Qualifications:

    Education/Experience:

    Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.

    Experience with accounting software.

    Skills & Competencies:

    Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

    Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

    Strong organizational and time-management skills.

    Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.

    Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
