Job Description

Accounting Specialist will assist with the month-end and year-end close process, accounts payable and Freight payments, and posting to the general ledger.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assist in processing month-end and year-end close.

· Reconcile Vendor Statements; post month-end journal entries.

· Match Raw Material AP, resolve Supplier issues, process Checks and reconcile to AP Sub-ledger

· Prepare Weekly Financials and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.

· Prepare Weekly AP Aging

· Other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, including 18 upper-division semester hours in accounting; direct experience may be substituted on a year-for year basis.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, QuickBooks, or SAP is a plus.

· Attention to detail and problem-solving, and analytical skills.

· Maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers and external partners.

· Excellent communication and demonstrated willingness to learn.

· Ability to work at a high rate of productivity.

· Strong organizational skills with an ability to multitask.
