What the Accounting Specialist will need to do:
- Get along well with others.
- Have a high attention to detail/accuracy.
- Process documents related to expenses, such as checks.
- Enter data into accounts receivable general ledger accounts.
- Investigate and reconcile invoices. Balance daily and month-end accounts receivable to general ledger balances.
- Produce and analyze Accounts Receivable reports.
- Manage various forms of accounting data, such as that related to accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Evaluate, improve, and implement accounting procedures and workflows and financial management systems.
- Verify and reconcile bank statements or department records.
- Maintain and make necessary adjustments to records and/or logs such as journals, payroll/ time reports, or property records.
- Contribute to the maintenance of accounting data and provide support as needed to the accounting department.
- Provide back up to other positions in Accounting department.
What the Accounting Specialist needs to have:
- 1-2 years of Accounting experience preferred.
- Basic to advanced Excel skills: data sorting and filtering, VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, data validation, etc.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
